Snow Day!!! January 9, 2011

When the weather people forecast for snow, I don't think anyone really believes it.  I guess because it's such a rarity here in Texas.  We decided, because there was no snow to head to church Sunday morning, 11am service and by the time we got out at 12:30, everything was already covered in white!!  The flakes were sooo big and it was coming down so hard, it took us about an hour and 15 minutes just to get home.  I think we ended up getting close to 5-6 inches here in Princeton.  I LOVE IT, its my very favorite!! Plus it was Gianna's very first Texas Snow!! We didn't take her out in it, too cold but I took some pictures of her looking out the window!! :D

Randoms of a SUPERMOM...LOL

SOMETIMES, I get into a really crafty mood.  I follow alot of great blogs and these amazing women...errr Supermoms and their awesome ideas/crafts...etc.  I saw this book wreath on someones blog and I HAD TO HAVE ONE.  My inspiration came from Living with Lindsey.

It only took me like an hour and a half...not bad and it was only 2 bucks!! Seriously!!

 This next picture was kinda an accident, I took it with my new phone when I got it and it just sat in my phone and I found it the other day and thought this would be the PERFECT silhouette picture.  So I printed and traced it onto black paper and then mod podged cheetah paper and the picture onto a board that I got a the dollar store (it was an ugly ugly picture of like fruit or something) and voila!!

I had just mod podged it, I will take another pic when I find its home in her room!!

Gigi and I had a little photoshoot last night just the two of us and here's the pictures!! She's soooo gorgeous and sooo easy to photograph! LOVE HER!!

Lasagna Gardening and New Boots!!!!

So having our own house and backyard is really exciting, especially because I wanted to have a garden in the backyard.  Michael and I both grew up as kids with gardens in our backyards and I want my kids to have the same experiences we did.  Especially the beloved chore of weeding our garden in 100+ degree heat in the summer like we did!! LOL

In the olden days we had to till our garden and yada yada yada but nowadays there is this great new thing called Lasagna Gardening.  My father in law is the expert and grows the most delicious vegetables ever.  With this concept the garden is in a box (of your sizing choice) you have to prepare it by laying down a gazillion (brayden's words) newspapers and then some really good soil.  You have to prepare this 6 weeks in advance before you start to plant.  So a couple of weeks ago Brayden and Popow prepared our garden boxes with the newspaper and soil.  How fun is that, I can't wait to start planting!! YAY!!

And on to the most FABULOUS RAIN BOOTS EVER!!  Knowing that I was going to be gardening I wanted some rain boots so that I wouldn't get my nice shoes dirty and icky.  I found these and I had to have them so I ordered them and they are a present from Michael for Christmas.  I got them in last week some time!! Aren't they AWESOME!! I love them!!  COWBOY RAIN BOOTS, they are like 100% vegan rubber, I don't even know what that means but whatever!  FABULOUS!!!
